About us

With its first international news channel launched in 2005, RT is now a global TV news network providing news, current affairs and documentaries in nine languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Serbian, Chinese, Hindi and Russian.

Its sister multimedia news agency, RUPTLY, provides livestreaming, video on demand, archive footage and broadcast services.

In 2016, RT filmed the first-ever 360-degree video of Earth from space, and in 2017, in collaboration with Roscosmos State Corporation and Energia Rocket and Space Corporation, presented the world with the first-ever panoramic video filmed in open space, during a spacewalk.

In 2013, RT became the first news network to surpass one billion views on YouTube. In 2020, RT became the first TV news network in the world to hit ten billion views across its channels on YouTube. By March 2022 RT had surpassed 17 billion views and 30 million subscribers.
